Are You Coming to Madinah Without a Guide Who Truly Knows Its History?

Your Seerah Connection

Most visitors come to Madinah, visit Masjid an-Nabawi and the landmarks of the city, whether it's Uhud or Masjid Quba, without actually knowing what happened there. They leave with beautiful photos but no real connection to the Seerah, the legacy, and the heritage.

We're Turath Journeys: a private, English-guided Seerah experience led by guides from the Islamic University of Madinah, so every landmark comes with the story behind it.

The Difference

Most visitors leave with photos. We want you to leave with a story.

WITHOUT A REAL GUIDE

  • You visit the city, Masjid an-Nabawi and the landmarks of Madinah, like Uhud and Masjid Quba, without knowing what actually happened there
  • You miss the lesser-known but historic places, like Masjid Dinar, Bir Ghars and Bir Aris, that most visitors never even know exist
  • You leave Madinah with beautiful photos, but no real connection to the Seerah
  • Your children lose interest instead of falling in love with the Sahaba

WITH TURATH JOURNEYS

  • You experience the city, Masjid an-Nabawi and the landmarks of Madinah exactly where the Seerah happened
  • You're shown the lesser-known but historic places too, like Masjid Dinar, Bir Ghars and Bir Aris
  • Your connection to the Prophet ﷺ and his companions deepens, and your iman grows with it
  • Your children enjoy the city and find new role models in their own faith

Our Guarantee

The Core Experience Guarantee.

You're not booking a driver. You're booking an experience. Every Madinah Heritage Tour is led by a knowledgeable guide from the Islamic University of Madinah, built specifically for Western visitors, and structured around the stories, events and people that shaped this city and the legacy of our religion.

We guarantee, with the permission of Allah, a genuine guided experience: the Seerah, the historical context, clear explanations, and the chance to ask as many questions as you like. If we don't deliver that, we'll make it right.

FAQ

Common questions.

Why not just hire a driver?

You absolutely can. A driver can take you to Uhud, Quba, Qiblatayn and other landmarks. However, that's not what we do. We take you through the stories behind these places: the Seerah, the people, the events, the historical context and the lessons. With a driver, you'll simply be visiting these sites. With us, you experience them and understand the legacy that's been left behind.

How do I book a tour?

Message us directly on WhatsApp with your preferred date, group size, and which tour you're interested in. We'll confirm availability and finalise timings with you directly. No online booking or deposit required upfront.

Do you provide hotel pickup?

Yes. The Heritage & Ziyārah Tour includes pickup and drop-off from your hotel. The Masjid an-Nabawi walk begins on foot from the mosque area.

Are tours available for just women?

No. For our tours, females must be accompanied by a mahram (a male relative).

Can the tour be customised?

Yes. Every tour can be adapted around your interests, schedule and group: a family-friendly pace, a deeper dive for students of knowledge, or a plan built around limited time in the city.

Is this suitable for children or elderly guests?

Yes. Because tours are private and small-group, we can adjust the pace and walking distance to suit your group, including families and older guests.

What language are tours conducted in?

We specialise in and cater to Western visitors, primarily in the English language. For other languages, reach out on WhatsApp to inquire.

What does "Turath" mean?

The Prophet ﷺ said: "The scholars are the inheritors of the prophets." Turath means heritage: knowledge passed down from the Prophet ﷺ through the scholars. That's what we share. Not just information, but knowledge that transforms how you see Madinah, the Seerah, and your journey.
